Camden People’s Theatre 2025
Weighted Blankets is a performance that was a part of the Camden People’s Theatre’s SPRINT festival. The show unravels the non-linear process of healing after mental trauma, keeping focus more on the feelings of the victim and their humanity than the acts of trauma themselves. In this way, the show foregrounds a broader process of psychological reflection, which speaks to anyone who has experienced periods of mental illness or distress in their own lives. Created by two London based audio engineers, Jiatong Liu and Alex Hargreaves.
The show incorporates computational arts, using TouchDesigner to create audio-reactive projections that evolve in real time alongside the performance.
